Mumbai, July 28 (Reporter) Over one crore applications have so far been received by the Maharashtra government for the 'Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin' scheme, an official statement said on Sunday. According to the official press statement issued by the office of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, the 'Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin' scheme has received an overwhelming response in the first month of its launch. Seeing the success of the scheme, some politicians are trying to spread false information about the scheme in the media, said Pawar. The scheme announced by Pawar, who is also the Finance Minister of the state, promises a monthly payment of Rs 1,500 to women in 21-65 age group with a family income of less that Rs 2.5 lakh.
