Nellore July 2 (Reporter) One person was killed and 15 school children were injured when a lorry collided with their school bus on the outskirts of Kavali town in the Andhra Pradesh district here on Tuesday. Police said that the bus was carrying some 20 students to RSR International school. When the bus was negotiating a ‘U’ turn on the Chennai-Kolkata highway, a speeding lorry hit the bus resulting in it being overturned on the road. The cleaner of the school bus was killed instantaneously. As many as 15 school students suffered various degrees of injuries. They were admitted to a nearby hospital. Kavali MLA Kavya Krishna Reddy went to the hospital and visited the injured students and directed the officials to ensure that they gets best treatment. Meanwhile, Minister for Education, IT and Human Resources Development Nara Lokesh expressed shock at the accident.
