Patna, Apr 26 (Reporter) An estimated 21.68 per cent of 93,96,298 electorate exercised their franchise in the first four hours in the second phase Lok Sabha election to five seats in Bihar. According to Chief Electoral Officer of Bihar sources, 21.68 per cent electorate exercised their franchise in the first four hours in five seats during second phase Lok Sabha election. The highest polling of 25.9 per cent was recorded in Purnea followed by Katihar 22.65, Kishanganj 21.94 Bhagalpur 19.27 and Banka 18.75 per cent. Electorate are exercising their franchise amid tight security arrangements in all five constituencies-- Katihar, Kishanganj, Purnea, Bhagalpur and Banka. No untoward incident has been reported so far from any part of the constituencies where polling is in progress. Congress candidate Ajit Sharma, his wife and daughter Neha Sharma, an actress, exercised their franchise in Bhagalpur seat. Women and first time voters are enthusiastic to cast their votes. They were seen waiting to cast their votes in long queues. Former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tarkishore Prasad, Independent candidate Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav and former Rajya Sabha member Ashfaque Kareem were among those who exercised their franchise during second phase of Lok Sabha election in Bihar...////...
