27 Sabarimala devotees injured as tourist bus overturns in Kerala

Wayanad, Nov 19 (Reporter) As many as 27 Sabarimala devotees from Hunsur in Mysore district of Karnataka were injured when a tourist bus in which they were travelling overturned at Thettu road near Thirunelli in Kerala in the early hours of Tuesday. The bus was returning to Karnataka after the devotees had darshan of Lord Ayyappa Swamy in Sabarimala when the accident occurred. The health condition of the injured, who have been admitted to Medical College hospital at Mananthavady, is stable, hospital sources said. The incident occurred around 0600 hours, when the tourist bus carrying around 45 devotees including two kids overturned. Police and local residents rushed to the spot and shifted the 27 injured to Medical College hospital. Meanwhile, AICC General Secretary and UDF candidate for Wayanad Lok Sabha Constituency Priyanka Gandhi Vadra taking to "X" said "I am deeply saddened to hear about the unfortunate bus accident in Wayanad involving Sabarimala pilgrims from Karnataka. My thoughts are with the injured and their families during this difficult time and wishing all those affected a speedy recovery...////...
