3 killed in landslides, wall collapse in TN, CM announces solatium

Chennai, July 30 (Reporter) Three people were killed in landslides and wall collapse at Valparai and Pollachi in Coimbatore district on Tuesday morning. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin expressed anguish over the deaths and announced a solatium of Rs three lakh to the families of the deceased. An official release two women--Rajeswari alias Muthu (57) and Dhanapriya (15)--were killed in a landslide at Valparai zone while they were fast asleep in their house. The incident occurred at around 4.00 am. In the other incident, one, Hariharasudan (21) was killed when portion of a wall of a thatched house collapsed and fell on his house. He was sleeping in the house when the tragedy occurred at around 3.00 am, the release said. Mr Stalin expressed deep anguish and grief over the deaths and announced a relief of Rs three lakhs each to their family. He also offered his condolences to the bereaved family members...////...
