6 wagons of empty goods train derail in Bengal, no casualty

Siliguri, Sep 24 (Reporter) At least six wagons of an empty goods train jumped the rails in north Bengal's New Maynaguri station in the Alipurduar Division of the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) on Tuesday morning, official sources said. There was no casualty. Area station superintendent Mukesh Kumar said a goods train derailed, it happened around 6.20 am on Wednesday. The goods train was going to New Jalpaiguri station from Jalpaiguri, he said. The train services on the section were disrupted and traffic was diverted to another route till the restoration of the track, sources added.
