Bhubaneswar, Jun 2 (Reporter) Seventy more companies of CAPF will be deployed in Odisha till June six to maintain law and order situation in the post-election period, Chief Electoral officer N B Dhal said here on Sunday. The CEO said 185 companies of CAPF were deployed in Odisha for the 2024 simultaneous general election. The election to 21 Parliamentary constituencies and 147 Assembly seats was held in four phases in Odisha. After the end of the fourth and final phase of election on June one, a decision was taken to deploy only 25 companies out of total 185 companies of CAPF at EVM strong rooms and counting centres. But now to maintain law and order in the post-election period and for the safety and security of every counting centres, 70 more companies of CAPF would be deployed till June six, the CEO said.
