Chennai, June 26 (Reporter) Members of the main Opposition AIADMK were on Wednesday evicted from the Tamil Nadu Assembly for creating uproar over the Kallakurichi spurious liquor tragedy and were later suspended for the rest of the session. The AIADMK MLAs were also evicted yesterday and suspended for the day. They had been continuously disrupting the proceedings demanding a discussion on the issue by suspending the Question hour, by sloganeering at the well of the House. As they continued to disrupt the proceedings today also, Speaker M Appavu ordered their eviction after his repeated pleas to resume their seats went unheeded. Later,on a resolution moved by the Leader of the House and Water Resources Minister Duraimurugan, the AIADMK members, who came clad in black shirts, were suspended for the rest of the session for violating the tradition and the Assembly norms. The resolution was adopted unanimously by voice vote. Speaking after the eviction of AIADMK MLAs, Chief Minister M K Stalin reiterated that the government was prepared to respond to the issues raised by them. He said he has been stating that ever since the session commenced, the state government was prepared to reply to any issues/questioned raised by the AIADMK members. He also said that the Speaker too had been reiterating this point. Mr Stalin said though it was assured that they would be allowed to raid the people's issue in the House, the AIADMK members did not have the heart to accept it and the Leader of the Opposition Edappadi K Palaniswami speaking outside the House was against the Assembly traditions. As a the principal Opposition, the AIADMK members without discharging their democratic duty to the people, has been hell bent on looking for publicity.
