Mumbai, Jun 13 (Reporter) Alleging that the Mahayuti (grand alliance) government has looted crores of rupees in the name of farmers, Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president Nana Patole said on Thursday that it is important to unseat the BJP-led government from power in the state. Talking to media in Nagpur, he further alleged that the Chief Minister brought the DBT scheme without inviting tenders and carried out the loot. The government has no money to pay to farmers but loot is going on in their name, he charged. The government has taken out a loan by mortgaging the premises of the construction department, he alleged and claimed that it is pushing people of the state in debt. The MPCC chief said that the Congress party will contest the Assembly elections together with its allies in Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) and will focus on organizational structure of the 288 assembly constituencies in the state. He said that during the Lok Sabha elections, the Congress had organized organizational structure in all the 48 parliamentary seats in the state, which benefited the Congress party as well as the MVA. Now, efforts are on to strengthen the party organization in 288 seats for the assembly elections, he pointed. He expressed that if seats are allotted according to merit while fighting as a front in the assembly elections, then good results can be obtained, he indicated. "If we want to fight together, we have to make organizational preparations," he asserted. Talking about scam in NEET examination, Patole said that it is not only the issue of grace marks in NEET exam but something more serious that there is a scam in this exam, as the paper was leaked. This is the question of future of 2.4 lakh students across the country who have appeared for the NEET exam, he said.
