Mumbai,Oct 19 (Reporter) Maharashtra Deputy CM and NCP National President Ajit Pawar on Saturday assured that the Majhi Ladki Bahin Scheme would not be stopped and the budgetary provision for the scheme would be increased after his party came to power.
Pawar said the scheme, a flagship programme of the Mahayuti government has empowered the women to become self-reliant and help women stand firmly on their feet’.
He criticised the opposition for continuously attacking the scheme first on its feasibility, and then on its implementation.
Pawar said after the scheme was implemented opposition were creating a narrative that the scheme would be discontinued after the elections.
But he promised that he would not allow it to happen and appealed to people to vote for Mahayuti alliance . He said after the election, the government will increase the amount for the scheme.
He said a budgetary provision of Rs 46,000crore has been made in this year's budget for the scheme. Under the scheme, the government provides Rs 1500 to each eligible women beneficiaries...////...
