Akshaya Patra Foundation, Cargill Business Services set records in educational initiative

Bengaluru, May 24 (Reporter) The Akshaya Patra Foundation, in collaboration with Cargill Business Services (CBS) India, achieved new milestones by setting records in both the Asia Book of Records and the India Book of Records in educational initiative. This was accomplished during the Clean Slate Carnival event held on May 23, at the Government Model Primary School in Gunjur. The initiative involved the painting of over 1,000 blackboards in 99 government and government-aided schools across Bengaluru. This volunteer-driven event saw participation from more than 1,000 Cargill employees and featured prominent leaders including Aparna Rao, CBS India Center Lead, Matthew Wood, Senior Director of Sustainability Digital, Data, and Analytics, and Shridhar Venkat, CEO of The Akshaya Patra Foundation. The Clean Slate Carnival aimed to enhance education infrastructure, thus improving learning outcomes for students. Aparna Rao highlighted the initiative's impact, stating, "We at CBS India are thrilled to collaborate with Akshaya Patra on the Clean Slate Carnival. This effort reflects our dedication to improving the educational environment for over 30,000 students in Bengaluru. "Education is crucial for a prosperous society, and every child deserves quality academic resources.
