Bengaluru, Feb 12 (Reporter) In a significant boost to India’s indigenous drone manufacturing sector, AKSI Aerospace Group has secured a manufacturing order worth Rs 85 crore from FIXAR Global.
The agreement, announced at Aero India 2025, establishes a strategic partnership for licensed drone production in India.
Under the agreement, AKSI Aerospace Group will manufacture drones domestically for both the Indian and international markets, leveraging its expertise in developing critical drone subsystems, including navigation systems, propulsion, batteries, airframe composites and imaging technologies.
This initiative aims to reduce reliance on foreign imports and bolster India's self-reliance in drone technology.
FIXAR Global, a leading developer of commercial autonomous drones, operates across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Through this partnership, FIXAR intends to scale up manufacturing in India, capitalising on AKSI’s production capabilities, quality control measures, and maintenance infrastructure.
