Kolhapur / Ratnagiri, May 3 (Reporter) Union Home Minister and BJP's star campaigner, Amit Shah, on Friday launched a counterattack on Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray following his criticism of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Shah for calling his party as 'nakali' (fake).
Targeting Sena-UBT chief in an election rally in Ratnagiri for BJP candidate and Union minister Narayan Rane, he retorted that he (Thackeray) had no right to take name of Shiv Sena founder late Bal Thackeray as he was chief of 'nakali' (fake) Shiv Sena and challenged him to take the name of Veer Savarkar in his public meetings.
Citing examples of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Lokmanya Tilak, he said that Veer Savarkar also struggled for independence from here.
"On this ground, does he have courage to take name of Savarkar, if not, then he is president of Nakali Sena and real Sena belongs to Chief Minister Eknath Shinde," Shah remarked while taunting Thackeray.
Continuing his attack on Thackeray further, the BJP leader recalled how the Sena chief took support of the Congress party for the chief ministership and asked whether he (Thackeray) said anything 'good' for construction of Ram temple, repeal of triple talaq and putting ban on PFI by Modi.
Claiming that Modi brought the country's economy to fifth place in the world, Shah appealed people to make Modi prime minister again for third time in order to push the country's economy to third spot...////...
