Anantapur, Nov 23 (Reporter) In a ghastly road accident, seven agriculture workers were killed and four were critically injured when an APSRTC bus collided with an auto rickshaw at Talagasupalli village in Gardladinne mandal in the district on Saturday.
DSP Venkateswarulu said that 12 agriculture workers were returning from fields after completing farm work.
A speeding RTC bus collided with the auto rickshaw killing seven workers. Two of them were killed instantaneously
while five others died while being taken to hospital.
The deceased were identified as Tataiah (55), Chinanagamma (48),
Ramanjanamma (48), Pedanagamma (60), Kondamma (50), Jamaramudu (40) and Chinakanna (37).
The injured were admitted to the GGH where their condition was said to be critical. The RTC bus driver was
arrested by the police.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu expressed shock and grief over the death of seven
agriculture works in RTC bus and Auto rickshaw collision. He express Rs 5 lakh ex gratia each of the deceased family.
