Vijayawada, Feb 16 (Reporter) The National President of the Telugu Desam Party and Andhra Prade4sh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday issued directions to leaders of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) to unitedly work for the success of the NDA candidates in the ongoing polls to the Graduate constituencies of the stae's Legislative Council.
At a teleconference with Ministers, MPs, MLAs, and other NDA leaders of Guntur, Krishna and both the Godavari districts, Naidu said every election is a test for the combine and the candidates fielded by the NDA should emerge victorious in all the polls.
Mentioning that efforts are being made to provide employment opportunities to the youth by attracting investments by using the 'brand AP', the Chief Minister said confidence has been created among the industrialists to invest in the state.
Reasserting that agreements have been entered into with various investors to the tune of Rs 7 lakh crore, he expressed confidence that over four lakh jobs can be created with these investments.
He also mentioned that Skill Development Centres are being set up across the State with the sole aim of creating jobs and said that pensions are being paid to 64 lakh beneficiaries every month.
The Chief Minister announced that DSC notification will soon be issued to fill 16,347 vacant teacher posts and told the NDA leaders that Rs 780 crore fee-reimbursement dues kept pending by the previous government have been cleared.
Naidu also said that salaries to government employees and pensioners are being paid sharply on the first of every month. "We are also planning to go for revenue-generating methods for educated women through the work-from-home system," he said.
The NDA government has successfully taken all these measures in just a matter of eight months, the Chief Minister said and felt that all the NDA leaders must take this to the people closely.
As only 10 more days left for the elections, the alliance leaders should work in close coordination for the victory of the NDA candidates, he said and cautioned them not to violate the poll code...////...
