Hyderabad, Feb 13 (Reporter) Andhra Pradesh police have arrested YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader and former Gannavaram MLA, Vallabhaneni Vamsi, here on Thursday morning in connection with an attack on the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) office in Gannavaram (Andhra Pradesh) in 2023. He was taken into custody from his office in Raidurg in the city, according to police sources here. He is being shifted to Vijayawada, where he will be produced in the court after making all formalities. Vamsi is one of the 89 persons named as accused in the TDP office attack held on Feb 20, 2023. Vamsi had earlier applied for an anticipatory bail petition, which will come up for hearing on February 20. Vamsi has been booked under BNS sections 140(1), 308, 351(3), and Red with 3(5).
