Itanagar, May 22 (Reporter) Congratulatory messages started to pour in for Arunachal’s own daughter, Kabak Yano, who conquered the world’s highest peak, Mount Everest, on Tuesday. “Kabak Yano’s conquest of Mount Everest demonstrates that the daughters of Arunachal Pradesh are resilient, courageous, adventurous, enterprising, and talented,” stated the Arunachal Governor Lt General (Retd) KT Parnaik on Wednesday while extending his hearty congratulations to Yano for achieving the remarkable feat. This is a proud moment for the people of Arunachal Pradesh, said Parnaik and added that her accomplishment will inspire other young people in the State to excel in their chosen fields. The Governor also commended the National Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports (NIMAS), Dirang for Kabak Yano’s accomplishment, noting that she completed her advanced mountaineering training at the Institute. He stated that the Institute has successfully fulfilled its mission of identifying talented youth and helping them reach the pinnacle of mountaineering. Congratulating Kabak Yano for her latest mountaineering feat, Chief Minister Pema Khandu said, her journey from Arunachal Pradesh to the world's highest peak is a testament to her dedication and perseverance. “From completing rigorous mountaineering courses to her success in scaling Mt UT Kangri and nearly conquering Mt Nun, Yano's accomplishment is truly inspiring,” he added. “Best wishes for your future endeavors, Yano!
