Itanagar, Feb 6 (Reporter) Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Tuesday called on Governor Lt General (Retd) KT Parnaik at Raj Bhavan here and discussed matters about the ensuing Assembly session, developmental activities in the border areas, and welfare measures.
“They took an overall view on issues related to security, education, health, and tourism,” a communiqué from the Raj Bhavan said.
During the meeting, the Governor discussed with the Chief Minister “the need to monitor and steer the projects for fructification for the coming financial year in line with Viksit Bharat @2047 vision”, it said.
The Governor also suggested harnessing the potential of the State’s youth, particularly in games and sports, art and cultural activities, and entrepreneurship. He emphasised an inclusive programme, including educational endeavours to help the youth become entrepreneurs and job providers.
The Chief Minister updated the Governor on developmental issues of the state as well as the activities being planned for the ensuing Statehood Day.
He also apprised the Governor of the remedial steps taken by the state government to address the ‘challenges’ of the people, the communiqué added.
Khandu, who earlier in the day visited Ram Mandir in Ayodhya and offered prayers along with his Cabinet and MLA colleagues, posted on X: “Called on Hon'ble Governor Lt Gen KT Parnaik (Retd) and handed over 'prasad' and gifts brought from the holy city of Ayodhya.
