Itanagar, July 4 (Reporter) Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt General (Retd) KT Parnaik on Thursday extended his good wishes and warm greetings to the people of the state, particularly the Apatani community on the eve of Dree, the major festival of the Apatanis. He expressed hope that the warmth and splendour, which have always been an important part of the festivity, will usher in happiness and prosperity for all. In his message, the Governor said that the Dree festival, which is an agricultural rite, showcases our Apatani tribe’s vibrant culture and traditions. It reinforces the laudable composite context of our multi-tribe and multi-cluster society of Arunachal Pradesh. "I call upon the elders and enthusiastic youth of the community to promote pride in their ethnicity and customs and preserve it for posterity," he said.
