Asha workers hold dharna in Hyderabad demanding payment of pending wages

Hyderabad, June 18 (Reporter) Asha workers, led by Telangana BJP Mahila Morcha President Dr Shilpa Reddy held a dharna in front of the Directorate of Medical Education (DME) Office in Koti on Tuesday, demanding payment of pending wages and higher salaries. During the protest, Dr Shilpa Reddy called for immediate payment of two months' pending salaries for Asha workers. She also emphasized the need to increase their wages from Rs 9,000 to Rs 18,000 as promised during the elections and to provide ESI membership and PF benefits. A memorandum was submitted to DME Joint Director Dr Padmaja, urging prompt action to address these issues.
