Guwahati, Mar 25 (Reporter) Bharat Chandra Narah, a senior leader of the Assam Congress party and the MLA of Nowboicha in Assam’s Lakhimpur district, resigned on Monday from the Congress party. He sent his resignation to AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge without giving any reason. Narah was hopeful that his party would nominate his wife, Ranee Narah, as its candidate for the Lakhimpur Lok Sabha seat.
