ATS arrests Bangladeshi couple for illegal stay in Bhayandar slum

Mumbai, Jan 15 (Reporter) The Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has arrested a Bangladeshi couple from a slum in Bhayandar for illegally entering and staying in the country without proper documents, an official said here on Wednesday. The action is part of a special drive launched by the Maharashtra ATS to identify and deport illegal immigrants. Acting on a tip-off, personnel from the ATS in association with the local police arrested Mofiz Azom Choudhary (52) and his wife Firoza (47), natives of Madhupur village in Khulna district of Bangladesh. Upon inquiry, they failed to produce any legitimate documents to validate their stay in India...////...
