Mumbai, Jan 21 (Reporter) Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Tuesday urged the media to avoid sensationalising the news saying that media should report an incident after checking its objectivity.

"We should try to carry forward their heritage and tradition. Currently, due to the growth of technology, there have been major changes in the media sector as well," he noted.
"Now electronic media, digital platforms and social media have changed the form of media. Today news is not limited to newspapers only. News reaches within seconds on mobile, social media. The speed of media has increased exponentially," he said.
Touching on use of Artificial Intelligence in media, he said that AI was going to have a big impact on this sector while asking journalists to maintain the values of truth, transparency and social commitment.
