Mumbai, Jan 6 (Reporter) The Mumbai police Crime Branch, which has completed its probe into the murder of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Baba Siddique, on Monday said the Lawrance Bishnoi gang plotted the murder to establish their dominance in Mumbai. An officer, who had played A vital role in the investigation of the crime, also ruled out any links to disputes over Slum Rehabilitation Authority projects. A 4,590-page chargesheet was recently filed in the Special Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) court recently against 26 people, including Anmol Bishnoi, brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The chargesheet named three people – Shubham Lonkar, Yasin Siddique, and Anmol Bishnoi – as the accused in the case. The US immigration authorities detained Bishnoi on charges of using a forged passport, and he is currently in their custody. On October 12, 2024, between 9:15 p.m. and 9:30p.m., Siddique was shot multiple times by three men as he exited his office in Bandra (West), Mumbai.
