Hyderabad, Oct 14 (Reporter) Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, criticised the police for labelling attackers of Hindu temples as "madmen," following his visit to the Muthyalamma temple in Secunderabad on Monday evening. He expressed concern that the police's behaviour is causing the public to lose faith in the law enforcement system. Sanjay questioned why Congress leaders remain silent on attacks against Hindu temples, stating, "Is Congress a party of terrorists for aligning with the MIM, which shelters terrorists?" He emphasised the BJP’s commitment to protecting Hinduism and condemned the lack of accountability for those attacking temples. During his visit to the damaged Muthyalamma temple, Sanjay and other BJP leaders, including Dr. G Manohar Reddy and S Kumar, inspected the destruction and met with local residents. They voiced strong sentiments, demanding justice and severe punishment for the perpetrators. Sanjay noted that the recent attack on this historic temple, especially during Devi Navratri, is shameful and has deeply affected the community. He questioned the police's assessment, stating that attacks on Hindu temples are not merely acts of insanity but part of a troubling trend.
