Extending his heartfelt condolences, the Minister said, "My deepest sympathies go out to the families of the deceased. The Uttar Pradesh government is taking all necessary steps to provide immediate and advanced medical treatment to the injured." He assured that both the central and state governments stand ready to support the families of the victims in every possible way. While the government has been taking precautions, the Minister noted that the overwhelming influx of devotees—running into crores in a single day—exceeded expectations and is emerging as a key factor behind the accident.
