Mancherial (Telangana), Aug 19 (Reporter) Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar has warned that the country faces the risk of disintegration if students and youth are not made aware of ongoing national developments and issues such as patriotism.
Referring to the situation in Bangladesh, the Minister highlighted how youth and students, driven by issues like reservations, created chaos, endangering the entire nation. While their demands may have been legitimate, the Minister questioned the interests of those leading the movement and the damage caused to the country.
He emphasized that Bangladesh's current crisis resulted from a failure to create awareness among its youth and students about these issues.
In light of these developments, Sanjay Kumar urged Indian youth and students to stay vigilant, constantly develop awareness about national issues, and be wary of forces that may divide the country.
Speaking after laying the foundation stone for the new building of Sri Vidyaranya Awas Vidyalaya at Chokkaramnagar, Rampur, Mancherial District on Monday, Bandi Sanjay praised the alumni for coming forward to build the first Shishu Mandir building in the state.
He expressed hope that this school could become the leading institution in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh in the future. He also saluted the donors who contributed 33 acres for the educational institution and called on everyone to participate in the construction of the new building.
The Minister emphasized the importance of understanding the differences between Shishu Mandir and other private and corporate educational institutions in Telangana. He criticized corporate schools for focusing solely on academics, neglecting culture and patriotism.
He lamented that many parents mistakenly believe that higher fees guarantee better education, without considering the importance of culture, civility, discipline, and societal values.
Bandi Sanjay credited his own success to the encouragement he received at Shishu Mandir, which recognized and nurtured his leadership potential.
He stressed that, despite the introduction of English as a medium of instruction, Shishu Mandir has not compromised on patriotism, culture, discipline, and respect for the mother tongue. He believes that his respect in society stems from his education at Shishu Mandir, which instilled in him a deep understanding of national issues and Dharma.
The Minister criticized other corporate schools for failing to discuss national developments, focusing solely on academics. In contrast, he praised Shishu Mandir for engaging students in discussions about ongoing changes in the country.
Using Bangladesh as an example, Bandi Sanjay warned of the dangers of not educating students and youth on national issues. He pointed out that the chaos in Bangladesh over reservations, driven by unidentified forces, led to the nation's downfall. He urged the youth of India to learn from this and stay informed.
The Minister also expressed concern over the influence of Naxal ideology in Telangana, which he believes threatens the country's education system, history, and culture.
He called for changes in the education system to benefit the country and society, warning against those who wish to incorporate Naxal ideology, Marxism, Maoism, and other selfish interests into the curriculum for political gain.
He urged students, parents, and Shishu Mandir alumni to be aware of these threats and teach the rulers a fitting lesson...////...
