Karimnagar (Reporter), Jan 25 (Reporter) Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar made a strong statement, asserting that no houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) would be sanctioned if renamed as "Indiramma Houses." He criticised the absence of the Prime Minister's photo on ration rice packets distributed by the Central Government and demanded that new ration cards feature both the Prime Minister's and Chief Minister's photos. If this is not implemented, he questioned the rationale behind continuing free rice distribution to the state. He added that the Centre might directly distribute free rice to the poor if needed. Speaking at an event at SBS Function Hall in Karimnagar, where Mayor Sunil Rao, corporators Swapna and Sridevi, and hundreds of BRS leaders joined the BJP, Sanjay welcomed them, saying their decision to join reflected trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. He declared that the BJP would reject members involved in land-grabbing activities, emphasizing the party’s commitment to integrity. Sanjay dismissed claims of significant investments from MoUs signed at the Davos Summit, calling them exaggerated propaganda. He alleged that despite promises of Rs 5 lakh crore in investments over the past decade, less than 10 percent of the commitments had materialized. “If the state government is honest, it should release a white paper detailing MoUs signed since 2014, the jobs promised, and the actual progress made,” he challenged. He further accused the then BRS government of widespread corruption and criticised the Congress party for mirroring its practices. “Revanth Reddy is following KCR’s example, burying scandals such as phone tapping, Kaleshwaram, drugs, and farmhouses,” he alleged. Sanjay also questioned the stalled Formula E race case, claiming it was suppressed after financial transactions in Delhi. Aiming for the Davos investments, he demanded transparency on the number of jobs created and actualized investments. “The government is using the Davos propaganda to distract from BRS scams,” he said. Sanjay highlighted critical issues such as delays in student fee reimbursements, unpaid Aarogyasri dues, and the plight of former sarpanches driven to suicide due to pending bills. He accused the state government of neglecting these issues, stating that central funds were the driving force behind development in villages and towns. He assured voters that if the BJP wins the upcoming corporation elections, the party would secure funds from the Centre to provide a 24-hour water supply for all residents of the Karimnagar Municipal Corporation...////...
