Kolkata, Nov 16 (Reporter) Mystery shrouded the discovery of the body of the Barrackpore Municipality (North) Vice Chairman Satyajit Banerjee, a day after he remained missing, official sources said on Saturday. Banerjee, who was the Councillor of Ward No 8, was found hanging by a rope on the rooftop of his rented home this morning after remaining untraced since Friday morning. Banerjee (66) has been a Councillor since 1986 ( previously Congress now Trinamool Congress) and also became the Chairman of the Barrackpore Municipality, residing in a rented house along with his family members as his own house was being renovated now. Police said they recovered a " suicide note" from the side of the body. Sources said Banerjee was out of home on Friday morning and when he did not return the family members lodged a missing diary with the Noapara police station Friday evening.
