Bengaluru, Apr 16 (Reporter) The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday announced the opening of two prestigious positions at the Centre of Excellence (COE) in Bengaluru: Head Physiotherapist and Strength and Conditioning (S&C) Coach for Team India (Senior Women). These roles are crucial to the Sports Science ad Medicine (SSM) team, dedicated to enhancing player performance and implementing cutting-edge injury management and prevention strategies. Both positions will be based at the state-of-the-art COE, with the successful candidates also required to travel with the Senior Women's team for matches and tournaments. The BCCI is seeking highly skilled professionals with significant experience in sports science and injury management, particularly those with a background in working with elite athletes. The Head Physiotherapist will be responsible for providing physiotherapy services on match days, diagnosing injuries, and creating tailored treatment plans. Additionally, they will collaborate with medical teams, monitor athletes' training loads, and devise injury prevention strategies. Applicants must hold a postgraduate qualification in Sports or Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, with at least 10 years of experience, preferably with high-performance athletes. The S&C Coach will manage fitness services on match days, including warmups and fitness testing, and will design personalised fitness programs. They will also monitor training workloads, develop injury prevention strategies, and implement recovery programs. Candidates should possess a qualification in Strength and Conditioning or Sports Science, with a minimum of seven years of experience in the field.
