Kolkata, Oct 7 (Reporter) The West Bengal government on Monday announced an exgratia of Rs 2 lakh and a job to kin of each deceased who died in a blast in Birbhum district.
State Chief Secretary Manoj Pant told reporters at Nabanna that the toll has risen to 6 in the blast at Lokpur under Bhadulia in Birbhum district.
Earlier report said 5 people were killed and around four injured when detonators stacked with explosives in a truck went off during unloading in West Bengal's Birbhum district.
The incident happened this morning in Gangaramchak Mining Pvt Ltd Colliery in the Bhadulia village area of Khoyrasole Block, under the Lokpur PS in Birbhum district.
The Chief Secretary said there were nine people. The remaining three were injured, one of them was critically injured, Pant added.
Meanwhile, Power Development Corporation Ltd has announced Rs 30 lakh compensation to the kin of each deceased...////...
