Bengal: Fire kills two, injures four in Bolpur sub-division

Birbhum, Feb 11 (Reporter) Two people were killed and four others sustained burn wounds after a fire broke out at a residential complex in West Bengal's Bolpur subdivision in Birbhum district, official sources said on Tuesday. All the injured, two of them children, had been taken to the Bolpur subdivision hospital, where the medics declared two elderly people succumbed to their burn injuries. The fire broke out on the first floor of the five-story apartment of the residential complex on Monday evening, in which two firefighting vehicles were pressed into service. Elsewhere, two children were buried alive in Bolpur after they fell into a hole near a brick and loose mud covered them. The local people dug out the two, but the duo died by then, official sources said. Local people attacked the Bricklin area, but the police arrived and took control of the situation...////...
