Bengal Guv for CBI probe in alleged medics exam scam

Kolkata, Sep 16 (Reporter) West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose has requested Chief Secretary Manoj Pant to ensure a CBI probe into the alleged "examination scam" and "mafia circle" in the state-run North Bengal Medical College & Hospital. In a communique, the Raj Bhavan secretariat on September 13 requested Pant to look into the matter and take necessary action with intimation to Raj Bhavan following a memorandum received from Darjeeling constituency Lok Sabha member Raju Bista. Bista on September 10 called for gubernatorial intervention in the case of ongoing agitation by medical students at the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital. Bista alleged in an X post that the NBMCH junior doctors have exposed "how TMC linked leaders are running a Medical Mafia in the institution." He requested a CBI inquiry to expose the medical mafia that has been running the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital, and for the removal of the Principal NBMCH to ensure a free and fair probe into these serious allegations raised by the medical students...////...
