Kolkata, Aug 29 (Reporter) West Bengal governor CV Ananda Bose left for New Delhi on Thursday evening and is likely to call on Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Bose left for Delhi hours after meeting a state BJP delegation headed by Bengal party unit chief and Union Minister Sukata Majumdar at Raj Bhavan, official sources said.
It was not known immediately what prompted the governor to rush for the national capital after meeting a four-member state BJP delegation. Besides Majumdar, former state BJP president Dilip Ghosh, current general secretary Jagannath Chatterjee and MLA Dipak Burman were part of the team.
The delegation apprised the governor of the law and order situation in the state in the aftermath of the woman medic's murder in the state-owned RG Kar Medical College and Hospital on August 9.
"Bengal is looking at you, do whatever is required to maintain law and order in Bengal. The people of Bengal are looking at you with great hope," Majumdar told the media...////...
