Kolkata, Nov 23 (Reporter) The ruling Trinamool Congress was leading in by-poll to all six West Bengal Assembly seats, which was held on November 13, as counting was in progress, official sources said on Saturday.
As the counting of votes began at 8 am, the ruling TMC, headed by chief minister Mamata Banerjee, was leading by huge margins in all the six assembly by-poll results, much ahead of of the nearest rival BJP, sources added.
The six assembly seats are Taldangra, Medinipur, Haroa, Naihati, Sitai and Madarihat.
Meanwhile, the TMC supporters were seen already celebrating with green 'abir' in all the six assembly
constituencies as the trend of counting emerged.
Sources said the TMC candidates were leading with thousands of votes and the lead was increasing as the rounds progressed.
The TMC was leading with over 8,000 votes even from Madarihat in north Bengal, where BJP held the seat in the last two assembly polls.
Sources said TMC candidate Jay Prakash Toppo was leading by over 8,000 votes over the BJP rival...////...
