Kolkata, Nov 23 (Reporter) The Mamata Banerjee-led ruling Trinamool Congress won all six seats in the by-poll held on November 13, the results of which were out after the counting of votes on Saturday, official sources said. The Chief Minister and her nephew Abhishek Banerjee, who is also TMC's National General Secretary, greeted the people for giving the ruling party landslide victory in all six assembly seats from the farthest northern district of Setai to the extreme southern region ( Haroa) of the state. In Setai ( Cooch Behar district) TMC new horn Sangeeta Roy won by over 1.3 lakh votes over the BJP candidates, and in Haroa in North 24 Parganas Sk Rabiul Rahman defeated his nearest ISF rival by over 1, 31,388 votes. The TMC wrested the Madarihat seat from the BJP where the ruling party nominee Jay Prakash Toppo won by over 23,000 votes defeating his nearest BJP rival. In Naihati ( N 24 Parganas) Sanat Dey of TMC won by over 49,000 votes, Sujay Hazra of TMC defeated his nearest BJP rival by over 20,00 votes in Medinapur and Falgiuni Singha Babu (TMC) won from Taldangra in Bankura district defeating his nearest BJP rival by over 33,000 votes. " We are not Zamindars, we are vanguards of the people," TMC Chairperson Mamata Banerjee said while dedicating the victory to Ma Mati and Manus. Banerjee's TMC has been winning all the elections after her party ousted the CPI(M) led Left Front in the assembly poll in 2011, and the margin was increasing in every poll be it Lok Sabha, assembly, Panchayat or civic bodies.
