Bengaluru: Air Force Technical College holds ceremonial passing-out parade

Bengaluru, June 1 (Reporter) The Air Force Technical College celebrated the successful culmination of its 212/23T/Permanent Commission and Short Service Commission/102 Aeronautical Engineering Course with a grand Passing Out Parade here on Saturday. The event saw the graduation of 60 engineering officers, including 20 women officers, after 74 weeks of rigorous training. Air Marshal SP Dharkar, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Eastern Air Command, was the Chief Guest and Reviewing Officer. He was welcomed by Air Commodore Ashutosh Shrivastava, Commandant of the college. The parade featured a stunning flypast by Dornier aircraft and a sky-diving display by the Air Devils team, along with a performance by the ‘Air Warrior Drill Team’. During the ceremony, Air Marshal Dharkar awarded top-performing officers with trophies and medallions. The prestigious ‘Sword of Honour’ for first in order of merit was awarded to Flying Officer Rahul EV. Flying Officer Nunna Uooha received the ‘President’s Plaque’ for excellence in professional subjects and General Service Training. ‘The Chief of Air Staff Medals’ were awarded to Flying Officer Ritu Ranjan and Flying Officer Pathivada Hemant Kumar for their achievements in the Electronics and Mechanical streams, respectively. In his address, Air Marshal Dharkar congratulated the new officers and emphasised the importance of operational readiness, technological innovation, and continuous skill enhancement.
