Sangli (Maharashtra), June 18 (Reporter) A 56 year-old man was killed on the spot while two others were seriously injured when a speeding tanker hit them in Maharashtra's Sangli district on Tuesday, police said. The incident occurred in the afternoon at Dhavadwadi on Vijapur-Guhagar road in Jat tehsil when the victim, identified as Ahamad Ali Babaso Sheikh, a BEST bus employee out for Eid celebration was stranded at a bus stand. The Dhavadwadi resident was suddenly hit by a speeding tanker. Sheikh was killed on the spot, the police said. After hitting Sheikh, the tanker hit a motorcycle ahead and seriously injured the two riders, who have been admitted in a hospital.
