Mumbai, Mar 30 (Reporter) Founder-president of Bhimshakti and Congress Rajya Sabha MP Chandrakant Handore on Saturday announced that Bhimshakti will support the Congress alliance in upcoming Lok Sabha elections to defeat the agenda of RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) and BJP.
Speaking to media persons after the meeting of office-bearers of Bhimshakti held in Chembur area of city, he said that RSS is making India a 'Hindu Rashtra' and their agenda is to change the Constitution given to the country by Bharatratna Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar.
BJP's slogan of '400 Par' is for a two-thirds majority and their leaders are publicly saying that they will change the Constitution if they get such a majority, claimed Bhimshakti chief.
He said that it takes a majority of 272 MPs to form the government in the Lok Sabha elections, but BJP has given the slogan of 'Ab Ki Bar 400 Par'.
BJP's aim of winning 400 seats is to get a two-thirds majority in order to change Dr Ambedkar's Constitution, he alleged and claimed that they want to implement the Manuwadi agenda of RSS.
The Bhimshakti has passed a resolution to stand with Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) and INDIA bloc to defeat this plan of BJP, he informed.
"It is the responsibility of followers of Dr Ambedkar to save the Constitution of the country," he asserted.
While appreciating efforts of the Congress party in trying to save the Constitution, Handore said that MP Rahul Gandhi has raised public awareness by undertaking a 'padyatra' across the country to save the Constitution and democracy in the country.
Similarly, the Bhimshakti activists will spread awareness among the Dalit community by undertaking door-to-door, village-, taluka- and district-level campaign to foil BJP's conspiracy, he added...////...
