Patna, Oct 6 (Reporter) Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday expressed grief over ten children drowned in Rohtas and Katihar districts of Bihar on Sunday and announced payment of Rs 4 lakhs each as compensation to bereaved family members. Kumar, in his statement, said that he was deeply shocked to learn about the deaths of six children in Rohtas and four in Katihar, as they drowned while taking baths. The state government was solidly behind bereaved family members in this hour of tragedy, he assured. "All the bereaved families would be paid Rs 4 lakhs as compensation," the Chief Minister said and directed the authorities concerned to ensure payment of compensation to them as soon as possible.
