Gopalganj, Aug 24 (Reporter) The Special Investigating Team (SIT) rescued five girls from Patna Junction who were missing from a village under the Manjha police station area of the district and arrested a woman agent trafficking them.
Police said here on Saturday that the girls have been missing since the night of August 22. The SIT, constituted to investigate the matter, rescued them from Patna Junction during the day.
According to the police, the arrested woman was an inhabitant of Kamalpura village in the Manjha police station area. The rescued girls were handed over to their family members after their medical checkup raids were on to nab the other members of the gang.
Meanwhile, police superintendent Swarna Prabhat said that the arrested woman had loped from her house five days ago. During the investigation, she informed that she had brainwashed all five girls over the telephone and asked them to come to Badhariya, Siwan, from where she took them to Patna by bus.
Prabhat said that the woman was planning to take the girls to Delhi, where she had a plan to traffick them...////...
