Patna, Jan 7 (Reporter) " Jan Suraaj " founder, Prashant Kishor, who continued his fast unto death agitation on the sixth day, in support of the demands of BPSC aspirants, was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday after his condition deteriorated. Kishor, popularly known as PK, complained of uneasiness and pain in abdomen on Tuesday morning, following which he was rushed to a private nursing home for treatment. Tests to assess the condition of Kishor were being conducted, hospital sources added. Dr. Ajeet Pradhan, treating Kishor, told media persons that he had an infection, gastritis, dehydration, and weakness. The line of treatment would be decided on the basis of his vital medical parameters, he added. On the other hand, Kishor said he was still fasting in support of the demands of BPSC aspirants. He had taken nothing except water, he stated. As it is, Kishor was sitting on a fast unto death dharna at Gandhi Maidan in Patna since January 2, in support of demands of BPSC aspirants, particularly for reconducting the preliminary test earlier held on December 13. Aspirants are demanding cancellation of the preliminary test due to a series of irregularities, including a paper leak. District administration of Patna had arrested Kishor from Gandhi Maidan on Monday after he refused to shift his dharna to Gardanibagh, a designated place for such activities, despite requests made by authorities. He was produced before the court of the Sub-divisional Judicial Magistrate, where bail was granted to him.
