Bihar gets better deal from Union Budget: Samrat

Patna, Feb 1 (Reporter) Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader, Samrat Chaudhary said that there was enough proposals for Bihar in Union Budget presented in parliament, which would boost the state's economy and create immense employment opportunities. Chaudhary told media persons here that proposals for expansion of Patna and Bihta airports and other greenfield airports in the state would help in increasing air traffic flow and boost the economy. Union budget for 2025-26, had proposals for zero income tax for those having annual earning upto Rs Rs 12 lakh which would provide relief to middle class, he noted. "Interest free loan of Rs 1.5 lakh crore would also make available such loan of Rs 15,000 crore for Bihar," he pointed out. Western Kosi canal projects would help the farmers cultivating in 50,000 acres of land in Mithila region, he said. Investment of Rs 20,000 crore in tourism sector would help in strengthening economy of several states, including Bihar, he informed. "Upper limit of loan for farmers from Kisan credit card has been increased from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 5 lakh, which will help millions of farmers, fishermen and dairy farmers," Deputy Chief Minister said, adding that credit cards scheme would be launched to boost micro entrepreneurships.
