Patna, July 4 (Reporter) Newly appointed JD(U) working president Sanjay Jha on Thursday said that Bihar would get either special category status or special package in the next five years under Narendra Modi government at the Centre.
Jha, on his arrival from New Delhi for the first time after becoming working president of JD(U), told media persons at Patna airport that Bihar was all set to get special category status or special package in next five years during regime of Narendra Modi government. Negotiations had already begun with the Centre on the issue, he added.
The JD(U) leader said that he would focus on expanding base of the party outside Bihar. In Jharkhand and other states, where party was already in existence, would be strengthened, Jha said.
He said that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had given him great responsibility by making working president of the party.
Jha expressed his gratitude to Kumar for the new assignment given to him.
JD(U) leader said that NDA had maintained lead in 177 assembly segments in recent Lok Sabha elections. His efforts would be to repeat the same performance in 2025 Bihar assembly election, he said...////...
