BJNY is ideological yatra not electoral: Jairam Ramesh

Imphal Jan 13 (Reporter) The Congress on Saturday said that the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra is an ideological yatra not an electoral one that the party has mounted against the politics of polarisation and social, economic and political injustice. Addressing a press conference here, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said, “Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra is an ideological Yatra by a political party but not an electoral Yatra”. He said, “While Bharat Jodo Yatra was for seeking love and harmony across the country against the politics of hate and violence, Nyay Yatra is for seeking justice for the people of the country which include social, economic and political justice”. Jairam Ramesh said that Rahul Gandhi will spread the positive agenda on how to seek justice for the people of the country. He said the Congress has mounted an ideological battle against a party that patronises and encourages polarisation, resort to social and economic injustice and political dictatorship. Stating that India being the largest democracy in the world the Congress leader said that it has now turned into a one-man show. He said that during the next 11 days, the Yatra will remain in five north eastern states.
