Hyderabad, Apr 7 (Reporter) Malkajgiri Parliament Constituency BJP candidate Etala Rajender expressed confidence that the party would secure victory in 12 out of 17 seats in the upcoming Telangana Lok Sabha elections scheduled for May 13. Speaking at the "Meet the Press" program hosted by the Telangana Journalists Union on Sunday, Rajender emphasized the significance of public discernment in shaping the political landscape. In addition to rallying support for the BJP, Rajender underscored the importance of the government heeding opposition suggestions. He castigated the Telangana Chief Minister, alleging negligence toward public issues akin to those of his predecessor, K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR). Rajender highlighted the unmet promise of the Rs 2 lakh crop loan waiver scheme and dismissed the Congress's prospects of ascending to power at the Centre. Touching upon the phone tapping case, Rajender disclosed that he was personally affected by it, with his entire family's phones being tapped. He advocated for a comprehensive investigation into the matter. Addressing speculation about Rahul Gandhi becoming Prime Minister if Congress were to win all 17 seats in Telangana, Rajender questioned how the party could fulfill its promises if it couldn't even secure power. He accused the Congress of misleading the people of Telangana.
