Bengaluru, July 15 (Reporter) In a scathing attack, Karnataka BJP President Vijayendra Yediyurappa on Monday lambasted the Congress government for its abysmal failure in delivering on development promises and its complicity in rampant corruption. Addressing media, Vijayendra accused the Congress of betraying the people's trust by prioritising corruption over governance. "The Congress government has become a byword for corruption, with scams and scandals erupting every day. They have failed to deliver on their election promises, leaving the state in a shambles," he declared. Vijayendra singled out the proposed bus fare hike by KSRTC, citing rising oil prices, as another example of the government's disdain for the common man. "While the Congress government indulges in corruption and extravagance, the people are forced to bear the brunt of price hikes and development neglect," he said. The BJP leader also raised the Valmiki Corporation scam, involving former Minister B Nagendra, as a stark example of the government's complicity in corruption. "The Congress government has failed to uplift SC-ST communities, despite promises. Instead, they have perpetuated corruption and scams, exposing their true colors," Vijayendra said. With his sharp criticism, Vijayendra has thrown down the gauntlet, challenging the Congress government to come clean on its development promises and corruption scandals. The political battlelines are drawn, and the people of Karnataka are watching with bated breath...////...
