Hyderabad, Mar 26 (Reporter) Union Minister and Telangana BJP President G. Kishan Reddy on Tuesday demanded a thorough investigation and strict action against officials involved in the phone tapping scandal during the BRS regime.
Speaking at a press conference at the party headquarters on Tuesday, Reddy said "We demand a thorough investigation and strict action against officials involved in the phone tapping scandal during the BRS regime". He highlighted emerging evidence suggesting that the phones of Bharatiya Janata Party workers, leaders, and office staff were tapped, emphasizing the need for decisive action.
"Such acts violate citizens' fundamental rights guaranteed by the constitution. Phone tapping should only occur in cases of national security and terrorism with proper authorization," Reddy stressed.
Reddy raised concerns over the alleged phone-tapping incident and described it as sensational. He stated that police officers formed a mafia and illegally tapped the phones of political figures, officials, businessmen, and individuals' private lives.
Reddy accused the BRS government of engaging in corruption scams and using phone tapping for extortion. He demanded accountability from Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for the phone-tapping incident and called for a high-level investigation.
Regarding recent developments involving MLC Kavitha, Reddy raised questions about her alleged involvement in a liquor scam and urged former Chief Minister KCR to address the issue transparently.
"Under the BRS regime, the government disregarded democracy and ruled autocratically, reminiscent of the Nizam's era," Reddy criticized, suggesting continued dominance of the KCR family in Telangana politics.
Reddy also condemned the recent attack on tribal women near the Changicharla Slaughter House, alleging police inaction and mistreatment of the victims. He demanded immediate closure of the illegal slaughterhouse and arrest of those responsible for the attack.
"We stand in solidarity with the affected tribal women and demand justice for them," Reddy urged the state government to take swift action against the perpetrators...////...
