Chennai, Dec 21 (Reporter) Hailing the DMK MPs for raising pressing issues concerning the State in a constructive manner in the just concluded Parliament session, DMK President and Chief Minister M K Stalin on Saturday cautioned that if the BJP-led NDA government continued to deny the legitimate rights of Tamil Nadu, the people of the state would give a befitting reply at the appropriate time. In a statement, he listed out the number of issues raised by the party MPs that reflected the entire voice of Tamil Nadu and said it gives confidence that they would have reached the Government's ears loud and clear. "Since our MPs have effectively and forcefully raised key issues concerning the State, it becomes certain that the Union Government cannot continue with its step motherly and discriminatory treatment meted out to Tamil Nadu and its people,” he said. 'Even after this, if the BJP-led Government at the Centre did not change itself and deny Tamil Nadu's legitimate rights, the people of the State will again give a befitting reply at the appropriate time", Mr Stalin warned. He also pointed out the just concluded Winter session Parliament is the apt example as to how the Parliament democracy was shred to pieces by the ruling dispensation. Union Home Amit Shah's insulting remarks against DR B R Ambedkar, the architect of Indian Constitution, during the Constitution Day debate, has unmasked and clearly exposed the fascist face of the BJP, the Chief Minister pointed out. By celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Indian Constitution on the one side and insulting its architect is the deceptive politics of duplicity pursued by the BJP, he added. Terming the performance of the MPs in Parliament as creditable since the whole country watched what stand the DMK had taken on critical national issues, including strongly opposing the One Nation, One Election Bill, Mr Stalin said and this is enough evidence of the growth of the Dravidian movement with a legacy of a century. "To see the entire Nation keenly watching what issues the DMK MPs are raising, what stand the DMK is taking on critical issues confronting the Nation, I am very proud about the Dravidian movement's growth", he added. “Be it the Adani issue or the Manipur situation, the Prime Minister who is accountable and is bound to answer, maintained a stoic silence and remained a mute spectator to the BJP members disrupting the proceedings and turning democracy into a farce", he said. It was very much evident that the BJP MPs were bent upon disrupting the proceedings with the sole aim of not allowing any discussion on the Union government’s failures and the DMK, a democratic movement, is worried about constructive work being a rarity in Parliament under the BJP rule", Mr Stalin said...////...
