BJP likens Siddaramaiah to Hitler

Bengaluru, Sep 23 (Reporter) Citing the example of a woman's murder in Bengaluru, the Karnataka BJP on Monday intensified its criticism of the ruling "Hitler-led Siddaramaiah government" of the Congress, accusing it of appeasement politics and failing to maintain law and order. The party's Karnataka unit claimed that the brutal murder of a woman named Mahalakshmi by an individual identified as Ashraf is emblematic of the deteriorating safety in the state under Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s leadership. In a strongly-worded statement posted on X, BJP Karnataka stated, "Under @INCKarnataka rule, appeasement policies have led to a complete collapse of law and order. The brutal murder of Mahalakshmi by Ashraf is a clear reminder that Kannadigas are no longer safe in this Hitler-led @siddaramaiah government." The party described the Congress government as being led by "Hitler-like" figure and suggested that Kannadigas (residents of Karnataka) are increasingly vulnerable. The statement also criticised Congress ministers, accusing them of downplaying the incident to appease certain sections of their voter base. "We urge Congress ministers not to dismiss this as a mere accident or prank to protect culprits and safeguard their vote bank," BJP said. The party further linked the incident to what it claims is Congress’ opposition to the "Anti-Love Jihad laws," accusing the party of defending criminals. The BJP also took a direct jab at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, suggesting he is more sympathetic toward international issues like the Hamas conflict than addressing local concerns. In a gruesome murder case, a 29-year-old Mahalakshmi was found dead, her body dismembered and stored in a fridge at a rented house in Vinayakanagar, Vyalikaval area on Saturday.
